Beating Death
The Infinite Corridor and Crimson Shroud route, and why it needs a plan.
Death arrives at the thirty-minute mark and cannot be outlasted. The standard answer is two evolutions that ignore how much health he has:
Infinite Corridor (Clock Lancet (max) + Silver Ring (max) + Gold Ring (max)), which halves enemy health, and
Crimson Shroud (Laurel (max) + Metaglio Left (max) + Metaglio Right (max)), which caps incoming damage and turns the contact damage that would kill you into something survivable.
Why this needs planning rather than improvising
Between them those two recipes want the
Silver Ring, the
Gold Ring and both
Metaglio Left and
Metaglio Right - four passive slots, on top of whatever the build is already carrying, in a game that gives you 6 of them. That is the whole reason the planner treats those items as floor pickups rather than level-up picks: they are things you find on the stage, so they do not spend your level-up budget, and a planner that counted them against the cap would argue against the one build it recommends.
Set the goal to Beat Death in the planner and the ranking promotes exactly these items, including the two Metaglios that no general ranking would ever surface.
